Momentum first came to exist as the small agency need to have a workflow that may at the end offer their clients a solution that will give them a competitive edge, better online visibility, easy editing, and great flexibility in non planned model changes and website upgrades. After getting technology stack in order, that workflow and tech stack were incorporated in software that got named Momentum.

Flows

  • Production ready rapid prototyping. The creative team can prototype websites with Momentum, and those prototypes are in a sense production ready. Use Snippets libraries. That way first focus would be information, and visual only as second. That approach may be more or less appropriate related to a specific project.

  • Architecture of information. Information architects can develop DB, front architecture, and business logic at the same time using just UI and Schema.org structured data library. Since schema.org model is Graph in it’s nature, ArangoDB is our DB of choice.

  • Free Build in Builder. Web designers/developers can build and design websites with possibility to integrate 3rd party libs, and use css preprocessors, save snippets and save and share snippet libraries.

  • Content Management. Editors may edit the website’s content using smart phone, tablet or laptop/desktop computer. No backoffice, everything is edited from the front end of the website using Direct Input Management System (DIMS) solution for fragmented content editing.

  • Extend or Change Website Architecture & Business Logic Easily. Since all changes to the architectural model of the website is done through the interface, when it is decided for a website to be extended with new functionality it can easily be done. (limitation with export import mapper)

Tech Stack of final project, that is at disposal to people who make websites

  • Graph DB via UI (for custom dynamics)

  • Schema.org via UI (for semantic annotation)

  • CSS || SCSS  || LESS via an open editor (for custom styling)

  • JS via an open editor (for custom interactions and animations)

  • DIMS as the CMS native to Momentum. (for content editing)
